Few questions for kid as name, color of dress, rhyme...gave chocolate to kid. For parents.. Office timing, how u spend time with kid tell me something abt kid...

Same for our case also. Basically they are asking questions from kid. Rhymes, name of pre school teacher etc. From us she asked us abouy job who takes care of kid and one value youwamt to Iinculcate in your child.

Regarding Interactions: (as happened last year with us)
Child Interaction: In a separate room where teachers see child's performance in colouring, pattern making, blocks making, shapes identification. Many childrens may be undergoing interaction at the same time.Its a simple interaction, pls practice your child at home on these activities.
Parents' Interaction alongwith Child: In rooms where 2-3 interactions happening in separate tables at the same time. 2 teachers with each parents at a table. Simple questions regarding educational&work experience, strength of the child, why cambridge?,how do you spend time with child at home?, is your family nuclear or joint?.were some of the sample questions i can recollect.
Overall pls just be confident. All parents answer to same questions in their own way..and that's the right approach..one just need to be honest and confident on one's points.

What type of questions they are asking ... any idea ?

Dear Manish,

Kothari will give you a questionnaire to fill. Post which they will take you for interaction. Basic questions will relate to your job profile, education qualifications, child habits, his likes and dislikes, how father ensures time for kid, what do you think about your child's future.

Some nursery teacher might take your kid to the play area while you fill up the questionnaire....But according to me it was just to show that they care for the kid.

I found Kothari a very good school. Spoke to couple of parents from Kothari, they all gave a positive feedback.....One lacuna as all new age schools have - they are very good and different till probably Class 5, post that when academics come into picture, they lack experience, faculty, resources.

Hello Dipali,

Getting a seat in Amity/DPS is tough. Moreover they have a balanced approach towards acads and extra currics. Your kid will get an equivalent chance to showcase his capabilities and abilities there. After all proven establishments have a lot to put on the table.

LVIS is less on acads.......That clearly means that when child comes in Class VI and above the school might not have proper resources, good faculty, better teaching experience......I would recommend Amity/DPS.

Regretting later of losing a good reputed school like Amity/DPS for LVIS/Shiv Nadar kinds might not be a good idea. Its better to admit in Amity now and later if you don't find it upto your expectations then shift to these new schools.......That's my opinion...................

Thanks Varun for your valuable feedback. My husband is also of same opinion. I was little inclined to Lotus Valley but most probably we will choose Amity :)
