Nursery Admissions in Delhi NCR 2024-25

For the benefit of parents who have APJ and some other school as well in their options, i am listing some good n bad points about APJ according to my own personal experience. Hopefully it shud help them in comparing it with other available options..

GOOD Points:

1) They have three different "In" as well as "Out" timings of school for (Nur-I ), (II to V ) and (VI to XII ).It assures that your child moves in and out of school with his age groups and transition from pre primary level to secondary level is very smooth. Usually all other schools have only two set of timings.

2) leaving a few, most teachers are good. Till first standard a lot depends upon class teacher as she is the only one in class for whole day and there are no subject teachers. We had excellent class teacher in Nur while in class I teacher was horrible. So you need to be lucky to have a good class teacher of your ward

BAD Points:

1) Class strength of 45 to 50

2) No personal attention and equal participation of all kids in events

3) Unhygienic drinking water and poor canteen.

4) Pathetic transport facility both from school and private

5) Zero sports facilities

6) Excessive work load from I st onwards

Please take these as my absolute personal views only, other fellow parents of APJ may be having different opinion.

They charge you for tennis fees but it is good for nothing.

Today we had 2nd round of interaction in APJ for my son.

I saw there was a big ground and at one corner there were lot of devices grounded for high school kids for sports activities.

And also at reception they had kept N number of trophies and prizes.

And i find that point very promising that each child in class is given opportunity to stand on stage with rest of students.With Kids of Nur, KG and I its difficult to judge who is best.

Might be in higher standards they give opportunity based on performance.

By giving opportunity in small kids its good that all kids get opportunity.

And kids in this age try to copy what others do.

So if the shy ones don't speak they will copy from Smart ones.

I felt the environment very promising.

Even the faculty was experienced and polite, helpful.

There were 20 parents called for today at diff slot for interaction with the Principal.

And also at young age concept of one class teacher is good as she will understand the kids behavior in some months and will be able to tackle.And is teacher keeps change based on subject wise for these young ones even they will also find difficult to adjust with each teacher.

This is all my understanding.

Hi Pooja,

Just want to add two points for your consideration.

1. Trophies are old ones. We didn't see any from 2011 or onwards. Also, we confirmed from a student that they are not much in news in inter school competitions.

2. We didn't like the moral values of the mgnt and more-money attitude because they were charging for APJ university and brochure without receipt. One of my friends' friend whose cousin took out their sister from APJ because on one context or another, they were asking money from existing students too. I guess we need not to not buy education for Children. We need to facilitate education for children and it should be done with proper means.

Nothing against APJ but we, as parents, need to stop "black mailing" and "bad attitude" of few Schools. Our bright kids should not study by corrupt means. And now we, people, belong to a generation which can change this.

Even i am not in favour of subject teachers till 2nd. What i meant is that APJ is not able to get 18 good teachers (6 sections of Nur to I) and if you land up in hands of a not so good class teacher then your child is surely in trouble.

For these 18 sections i know atleast 4 teachers who do not deserve to be there.

And of course once again its purely personal expereince and nothing personal against any body or any school

Also as most parents are feeling, APJ is non transparent, money minded and away from technology.

In today's world if you charging more than any other traditional school and still school is not online with your forms and result then it certainly is a sign of worry for me

Abhishek if u cud please tell how many sections does APJ has in nursery at present. And I had heard that they have 2 teachers in a class of 45-50 students in nursery. .is this info correct or no?

6 sections of 45+ students. There is one main teacher and one support teacher in nursery
