what all did they ask... Did you take your daughter along with you...

Hi Sakshi

I am planning to register for TSMS. Had a word with school authority today and they mentioned that they are still accepting forms but it is subjected to the availability of the seats as they have already declared results for the first round. I want your opinion based on your experience is there any probability that we can be called for interaction considering the number of seats they have and first list is already out?

Your opinion and guidance on the matter is much appreciated. Thanks.

Shweta,

I got my daughter admitted in TSMS today. They basically select the forms depending on the kind of answers you write post which they call for interaction for both the kid and parents, If the child is selected (which they confirm by end of the day), they give you 3 days time to pay the fees (Rs 80000) and complete other formalities. If the parents don't turn up then they have that seat vacant for which they call new set of prospective parents. So it totally depends on the kind of conversion they have for parents who had filled up the form within the stipulated time frame and also the class in which you are looking for admission. My daughter has been admitted to Ankur (which is Nursery)

Ravi,

Thank you so much for your detailed inputs. It is really helpful.

My pleasure and all the best.

My son too got selected for TSMS. But my first choice is Shiv Nadar and am very confused. Somehow being a CBSE product myself am not very sure of ICSE curriculum.

Should I take the risk and wait for Shiv Nadar?

What made you so sure of TSMS?

Thanks!

Dr Anupama Bisaria

Hi Anupama,

The quality of teachers in Shriram is top notch. Their principal is ex-Sanskriti and Vice Principal ex-Shriram, Vasant Vihar. Also almost 30% of the current teaching faculty are from either Shriram, VV or GGN. They have a great lineage and the kind of results they have given in last 5 years (since inception) is really commendable. The only place where it lags with other big schools is the infra part.

Even I was totally for Shiv Nadar till a few days back but then I got hold of a few people who knew TSMS from inside.

Thanks for your input.

I studied in both ICSE and CBSE boards, and I strongly feel the ICSE syllabus was better. BUT, that was more than 20 years ago :)

Also, there just seems to be one school in Noida that offers ICSE!

Shweta

For sure last year delhi parents blocked seat in dec.(who could not get admission  in delhi )

yes..i took my daughter along with me..I think it was mendatory but one parent on this forum said she did not bring her kid along..they did not ask us much questions..

1) they asked us abt the pplay school where she is going currenctly

2) then they asked if we r happy with the play school..we said yes..then she asked what is that makes us so happy with the play school

3) then she asked who looks after the kid as we both r working

4) one teacher was interacting with our child..not sure what she asked to my child but i could see some colors and books and chocolates lying on the table
