Hi Sakshi and other parents,
I need your advice and guidance.
My daughter is
1. Selected in Amity Noida (fees last date 23 Sep 1PM). Far and Bus doesn't come to my location only private transport.
2. Waitlisted in Khaitan. Result for waitlisted would be declared on 23 or 24. Far but bus comes to my place.
3. Not selected in St. Francis. Near to my place.
4. Interaction for SCDAV on 25th. Near and bus also comes to my place.
5. DPS Noida showing as pending.
What should I do? I want a good school for my daughter but also not very far from my place.
Thanks
Hi Sakshi and other parents,
We have following 4 option for our kid and need to decide quickly and pay fees. Need suggestion, out of following what should be the order of preference for Nursery kid
Manthan [adjacent - 2 min walk]
GIIS, [10 min distance by cab]
Gyanshree [15 min distance by cab]
Mayoor [20 min distance by cab]
Manthan and Gyanshree are new - no reviews
Mayoor mixed feedback some parent confirmed taking out
GIIS has quite positive reviews

Thanks Sakshi. Today I submitted the admission fees in GIIS and feeling great.
Thankyou so much for all suggestions. I never knew nursery admission of a 3 yr old kid will be such a daunting task. We didn't apply in schools like appejay, somerville, FAS as these were >8km and also we thinking that there are lot of good schools in Noida, and we will get somewhere for sure.
We tried khaitan also but we were not short-listed after interaction.
In the end I believe we have got one of the good school near to our home. Our DPS interaction is on 30th, but we are not going.
DPS 132 express way- I(under construction), They charge 2000 just for registration (that too without any brochure).
Heartiest Congratulations and God Bless your Family
Thanks for Your Kind Words :)
Khaitan is a good school with good infra and facility....if u compare it with DAV, Khaitan is better in all prospects as I myself is from Noida residing from last 20years.
DPS Noida is anytime better, block ur seat as DPS is quite tough
Thanks Ashima. But where do i block my seat.
I am still waitlisted for Khaitan. And by the time they would release the results, Amity's date would be over.
Amity is anytime better than Khaitan. Khaitan is good for primary section only as heard the feedback from people.
Hi Jayanti and all the worried parents, we keep hearing positives and negatives about different schools - more on positive side till you seek admission and negatives the moment you have submitted the fees for :D interesting observation! The feedback we hear are may be on the basis of personal experiences or perhaps they too have heard from different people. Still I wonder why are these schools so much sought after? :)
I think we'll need to go with our instincts and the fact that we had applied with some notions and the fact that our child has been selected so am sure s/he has something that the school is looking for. Rest I believe is, time will tell. You will always have options in future - I know a mother whose 2 kids study in the same school and she was happy when her elder child got admitted and now unhappy because she feels that the younger is not performing as much. Sometimes we forget that it could be because of the child's personality and likings (and dislikings) - so the school is same but the experience with different children differs. They are very small kids and what and how they'll do in future is something that we'll have to keep a watch for And we are doing the best with our "judgements" and "constraints" to get them admitted to the best possible environment and remember these are the so-called best schools we are talking about. Even I am equally a worried mother but hoping that our instincts work best for my daughter and I do believe that we'll always have options in future, if at all needed! Let's just hope the best for all of us. I am sure Sakshi wouldn't be able to help because she has both positives and negatives for all the schools from parents only and she is going to direct us to them again! :)
Very well said Sunita :-)
