ADMISSION CRITERIA FOR PRE-SCHOOL CLASS
ACADEMIC SESSION – 2023-2024
In pursuance to the Director of Education, Govt. of NCT of Delhi order F.DE.15 (172)/PSB/2016/9483-9492 dated 21.11.2022 the following criteria have been laid down for admission to Pre-School Class in the school for the year 2023-24.

(a) E.W.S. & D.G. Category	25% of the seats are reserved for candidates belonging to the E.W.S. Category/ Disadvantaged group/Orphan who are eligible as per conditions laid down in Govt. Notification no 15(172)/DE/Act/2010/69 dated 07.01.2011 and subsequent orders (Admissions in this category shall be done based on computerized draw to be conducted by DOE and sponsored to the school)	40
(b) General (Open) Seats	75% of the seats are reserved for candidates belonging to the General Category/ Management Discretionary Group under the school specific criteria.	120

School Specific Criteria (General Seats)

The School specific admission criteria has been devised on a 100-point scale to be distributed as under

Neighbour hood	70 points
Candidates residing within 0 to 8 km distance from the school	70
Candidates residing beyond 8 km	50
Siblings / Staff wards -	30 points
Candidates whose real sister or brother is a student of the school or / wards of the employees of SGS, Sector 18A, Phase II, Dwarka only.

3.1 In case of Neighbourhood, the applications must be accompanied by Google road map showing the distance from their residence to the school. Points would be given according to the defined number of kilometers in a range.

3.2 In case of siblings, the application must be accompanied by self-attested photocopy of the Student’s Identity Card (both sides) and photocopy of the latest fee payment receipt of the sibling student indicating the admission number.

3.3. Selection of Candidates for admission in Pre-School Class during the session 2023-2024

• School follows the 100-point scale system.
• Out of the total applications from the neighborhood range and Sibling Criteria admission would be first offered to the candidates attaining maximum points.
• If the applications attaining similar points are more than the seats of general category, the draw of lots shall be conducted to admit the students against the number of available seats.
• If vacancies remain unfilled after exhausting the applications from the first lot of maximum scorers, the applications from the next lot of maximum scorers shall be considered in the above manner

EWS & DG Category
The school shall not process the admission of EWS/DG Category students. The D.O.E. will process the applications online for admission in schools as per the guidelines.

Age

As per D.O.E. Order the child should be at least three (03) years old as on 31st March of the year for admission in Preschool. However, the child must be less than 04 years old as on 31st March 2023.This includes all the children born between 01.04.2019 & 31.03.2020

Registration

The process of Nursery Registration will be conducted both via online and offline modes.

For OFF-LINE Registration: Standardized registration forms shall be available at the Gate no. 2 of the school on all working days from Thursday, 01 December 2022 to Friday, 23 December 2022 between 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on payment of Rs.25/- only.

The filled in forms should be deposited at Gate no. 2 of the school between 10:00 am to 03:00 pm on all working days. The last date for deposit of application form for registration shall be Friday, 23 December 2022 upto 03.00 pm.

For ON-LINE Registration: Online Registration forms will be available on the school website. The direct link to apply online will be available in the Admission page of the school website from 12:00 am Thursday, 01 December 2022 to 11:59 pm Friday, 23 December 2022. Instructions and guidelines to fill the on line form available on the website should be carefully read and followed.

General Category

• 1 Self-attested photocopy of the birth certificate issued by the competent authority.
• Self-attested copy of (any two) of the following documents:
  
  > Ration Card issued in the name of parents (Mother/father having name of child)
  
  > Domicile certificate of child or of his/her parents.
  
  > Voter I-Card (EPIC) of any of the parents.
  
  > Electricity Bill/ MTNL Bill/ Water Bill/ Passport in the name of any of the parents or child
  
  > Aadhar Card/ UID Card issued in the name of any of the parents.
• Attach Google road map for distance.
• Self-attested photocopy of the Identity Card (both sides) and latest fee receipt showing the admission number of the sibling, in case of sibling category.

Admission

The admission shall be made without any discrimination of caste/religion/region etc. by the admission committee under the Chairmanship of the Principal and assisted by the Incharge, Pre-School.

No interview or interaction shall be held with the candidates or parents.

• To fill the column of distance from school, proceed in the following manner:

• Proof of Distance Measured [Screenshot of the distance measured from residence to Delhi Public School Rohini on Google Map, clearly showing the exact location of the address].

• Only jpeg format can be uploaded for scanned copy of photograph.
• After completing the Application Form, click on the `I Agree` button for online submission of non-refundable registration fee. The application shall be considered only after successful payment of non-refundable registration fee.
• Immediately after the payment, an Application Number will be generated. The acknowledgement e-mail along with the pdf of the filled form will be sent to the e-mail Id mentioned by you in the Application Form.
• Alternatively, you can download the filled Application Form from the link available on the Notice page of the ADMISSIONS link on the school portal using your Application Number.
  Kindly Note: You will not receive an e-mail if the transaction fails. You are advised to try again.
• In case of any discrepancy in the submitted form, kindly write an e-mail to nursery@dpsrohini.com. Mails regarding this will not be entertained after 12 Noon Monday, 30 December 2022. Queries at any other e-mail Id will not be answered.
• Queries mailed to the e-mail id will be responded to within 3 working days.
• No change will be entertained by the school after the submission of the form. Resubmission of a new form is possible, but notification regarding the same should be sent through mail at nursery@dpsrohini.com.
• Incomplete forms will not be accepted by the system.
