Nursery Admissions in Delhi NCR 2025-26

Primary school education goes a long way in deciding your child's personality, his/her interests in reading/writing, development of aptitude & IQ. all these things keep developing in all school years but the basics of all the above points are laid when the child is between 5 and 14 years of age i.e nursery to class 8. to develop the child skills from a young age need a lot of scientific learning, personal involvement of teachers, lot of involvement of parents, good learning conducive environment both at school and home, self-confidence building activities like lots of extra co-curricular activities, lots of sports providing for both self-confidence building & physical devt and lot of individual tracking of child growth.

for the above growth drivers to be fulfilled , what do you think the child needs :

good infra : takes care of scientific learning tools, sports

low student-teacher ratio, competence of faculty : leads to personal involvement of teachers and individual tracking of child growth

Extra co-curricular : more the better, we shd see the activity calendar for the school. also less students in a class means all kids will get opportunity to participate and good tracking will mean no one is left out.

Learning envt in school & home: again linked to scientific learning and teacher-parents involvement

acads shd not be a criteria to choose a school in nursery. if the basic grounding of the child is not good in formative years then there is no way child will excel in acads.

12 th result is the last thing to consider. if all these schools(dps, amity, somerville. apj etc) were so good in acads then why do each and every child goes for tuition. Noida coaching centers are filled with children from amity, dps, APJ, VBPS, Bal Bharati ,Somerville etc

parents, the education that these new age schools like kothari, Lotus valley, shriram , shiv nadar , pathways, genesis, Step by step are offering is the real quality education and not the usual cramming and marks race which is followed in old & established schools.

Hi Tarun,

It is slightly premature to discuss this because currently we only have one choice from new age school and rest in process.

I like your comments on new age school vs traditional schools, ever since we have started the process of admissions we are in dilemma.

Now when you say these new schools provide real quality education, doesn’t it come with own set of problems like: Too much of technology, display of money, not up to standard on academics (atleast what we have heard), no competitive environment (this is actually good but can be a limitation too), are these schools really performing? Are they asking for a fair price? Almost 50-70% more than a normal school!!! Hope this all is not window dressing!

I think you have done enough research have you done any rating (not referring to online lists).

1) everyone cant afford them

2) i personally dont like my child having an out-an-out AC environment

True, everybody can not afford these schools and I don't think they are charging only for AC.

My confusion is are they really 'different'? or just have a created a USP.

On the other hand what is so great about these traditional schools? people are under tremendous pressure to get their kids admitted to these schools (even who can afford new schools prefer these schools) what is so great about them, excellent academic record? that's it????

We really are looking for an answer.
