Hi Madhu,

It totally depends on you preference. Amity is an old age schools having lot of focus on academics whereas Lotus Valley is a new age school with focus on holistic development of the child. Also the teacher student ratio is high in Amity.

Thanks a lot Ravi. Could you also please suggest if we should wait for the nursery admissions in Delhi OR should we get the admission now in Noida itself and then leave the Delhi options.

Madhu,

If you are putting up in East Delhi, then you should surely go ahead and get your kid admitted in any of the above 2 schools as there are not many very good schools in East Delhi.

If you are residing in South Delhi, then it would be a gamble. If you do not get through any of the good South Delhi schools you will repent later on. If I were in your place and residing in South Delhi, I would have got my kid admitted in Noida and then would have applied in Delhi. If he /she would get through any of the good South Delhi school, I would get him/her admitted there and withdrawn from Noida school. I would loose some money but then every parent wants best for his/her kid.

Thanks so much Ravi. your suggestion is really helpful.

My pleasure Madhu and all the best.

Madhu,This forum and whole internet is full of negative reviews of LVIS Noida so go for amity

No offense to any religion n to anyone bt i met a father today whose son is in FAS Noida in 2nd and was very upset and wanted to change the school. As per him there is lot of partiality between Christian n non Christian students n at times teachers don't bother abt non Christian students.. Even I am eyeing on fAS Noida for my son.. Anyone has any idea.. Any parents who r already linked to the school can throw light on it.. M tensed nw.

HI Sakshi & Parents,

Today we had interaction in Ryan International Noida and my daughter got selected. Please share the reviews about the school

Also have to submit fees till 11th September which is around 70,000 non refundable. My interaction in Cambridge, Bal Bharti still pending also waiting for DPS as it will be out on 15th and still hoping for Somerville as well.

Please suggest what to do?

Regards

Neha

pl can anyone say what did they ask in ryan??nd its fees structure??

Initially they give us a form with around 12 questions. All descriptive like How your child is unique? How can you contribute to school? Why Ryan? What would be your reaction to fees fluctuations?. In the mean time they take my child to other room.

After that they asked to go to the other buiilding where the Principle again interacted with the child she asked about the colours, what is your name? Hw are you?

Then they told us that your child is selected.

have to submit a dd of 60,000 plus some cash of 7,000 by 11th september

Neha, We went through the same process in Ryan. While our kid went with the teachers happily and answered their questions verbally, he flatly refused to colour their sketches and said it straight in their face (They told me this later). We again had the same interaction with the Principal and was granted admission. I missed FAS interaction because the timings clashed with Ryan and also Ryan would be much closer to our home. We also have a second round in Amity Noida pending, creating more confusion. Eventually I spoke to a teacher who has worked in 4-5 traditional schools in a long career. She opined that all traditional schools work similarly - roughly same level of homework, tests, activities etc etc - even though some parents say otherwise. Being the studious type, I then checked the board results in these schools - again all were quite similar and Ryan had marginally better results. For two mornings, we went to the school premises to see the level of activity. Could not catch any action in the montessori block, but the teachers were already in classroom by 8:15AM for 9:00AM session. This morning we went to the main premises and there was quite a few sports and cultural activities going on, but closed up around 8:30 for the start of classes. All in all, we went ahead with the admission for a few factors - 1. There may be better schools, but Ryan would not be a bad choice either. 2. closer to home. 3. In a few years we would all ponder if we should shift schools, so do not look at it with a 12 years horizon. 4. Dont want to give the kid everything in a platter - from AC buses to classrooms. Ryan/ Khaitan would just fit the bill for us.

So go ahead with your gut feeling. We can only show the path - the child will do the rest.

Cheers

Thanks Jaiganesh....hope it will help me in taking any decision
