Basic rule of nursery admissions is what ashish said.. Block your first seat. Afterwards choose as you will get refund also after deduction of some or major amount.

Second option.. If you can relate with any new age school then you can take risk of not blocking the seat.

Take final decision after consulting your family and seeing fees of new age schools.

Hi,

A parent wanted to decide between DPS 132 and APJ.

The following difference should be considered.

1. DPS 132 nursery reports at 7:40 am while APJ it is 9 am.
2. DPS 132 is too new to comment on the academic acheivement while APj is in top 10.
3. Brand:- DPS 132 is is not run by the DPS board.
4. APJ is know for academics as well as overall development.
3. Infrastructure wide APJ has a sprawling campus with swimming pool and science park, i understand DPS 132 is not even complete in construction.
4. DPS 132 you can get admission anytime, but just see how people are clamouring to get into the so called traditional schools.

Plz don't just go by the facilities offered, look at if they r maintained well to be used.. Swimming pool has max issues with health n safety which u realize wen ur child gets an allergy n noone can tell it's bcoz of the pool. Also to my understanding underconstructed building shud nt b n issue as a kid of Nur or KG doesn't use all of them.. Schools r built this way only. Both the schools r gud bt I feel DPS being new shud hv better facilities in future.

Dear All and Sakshi, Though I have blocked seat in Amity Vasundhara.. I got lots of good feedback on AN for new age school like GIIS. I can say for my kid I have 60/40 priority on Academy/Extra Curri. Can anybody help in differentiate between new age school vs Amity Vasundhara (Donot know which category one will put this school).

Please Suggest!

Nw that ur seat is confirmed and u r at no risk, visit new age schools u hv shortlisted. Don't visit many to confuse urself, visit 1-2 only. I guess u will understand the diff urself. Superficially u cud only find diff in climatic controlled class room n buses bt analytically there is a diff in the way they teach. Also thy believe that grasping power of any human increases wen he feels comfortable in that environment and temperature. New age schools r more practical in nature whereas traditional schools are more books / syllabus centric. To my opinion, in future the diff wud be same like travelling by Air India or Virgin Atlantic... Both the flights will take u to London.. Bt the experience wud b different.. Funny example :-p

I left out the option of holding seat in Bal Bharti, since the refund policy allows only 50% (~33K / 65k). Now, Cambridge result is out and to the last date is 19th, and also result awaited for Amity (Sep 18th) & KPS, Sep 19th.

My precedence is.....

AIS, Noida > KPS > Cambridge.....

Parents / Sakshi, please share your feedback. What should be the final take????

Block ur seat and try for Ahlcon International, Ahlcon Public and Salwan.
