Fortunately or unfortunately most of the greats were not prodigy.

I think schools just want already trained kids to minimize their efforts and claiming kid's success as theirs. 

But schools are nothing but reflection of society in general and of parents in particular.

I always wondered in my childhood why uncles/aunts asked me about which school I go to?

Seems like nothing has changed in last 30 years we as parents are still chasing schools not education.

Hi ..Anyone whose kid has taken admission in Shiv Nadar ... I have my kid stands at waiting list #9 in the lottery process so its a "maybe " case for us . This week shall decide if we make to top 50 . Can someone help me brainstorm why Shiv Nadar or why not ?

I was personally very impressed by Shiv Nadar

Unfortunately we couldn't make it in the top 50 or waitlist.

Ela - Shiv Nadar is very good on individual attention, holistic development , extra curricular etc. The only negative I heard (especially from the parents of kids in higher classes 6 and beyond)..is that the focus on academics is bit lacking  and they don't push kids at all which makes kids less competitive and less focussed. This was the reason we decided against Shiv Nadar last year
