ADMISSION TO SOMERVILLE PRE-SCHOOL FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2022-2023

ADMISSION CRITERIA

Somerville School, Vasundhara Enclave, Delhi is a Recognised Unaided Christian Minority school run by the Lott Carey Baptist Mission in India. Provisions of the RTE Act are not applicable to Minority Schools.

Total Seats in Pre-School : General – 200

Admission Criteria
i. Children born between 1^st April 2018 and 31st March 2019 are only eligible
(Less than 04 years as on 31^st March of the year in which admission is sought)

ii. Points allocation on 100 point scale for General Seats:

a) Christian candidates:	50
b) Siblings/Alumni/Children of Staff of the school:	20
c) Distance of Residence from the school:	30
0 km – 7 km	30
Above 7 km	20

Note:

1. ‘Siblings’ refers to own brother/sister of the applicant currently enrolled in the school
   (Not cousins or other family members, even if living in a joint family)
2. ‘Alumni’ refers to Father / Mother of the applicant who passed AISSCE (Class XII) from the school.

Registrations are to be filled online on the school website www.somervillevasundhara.in

Age relaxation for up to 30 days may be granted by the Principal on receipt of a letter of application (with copy of birth certificate) in HARD COPY ONLY at the school reception. In such cases a manual registration form will be filled and self-attested documents submitted in hard copy at the school reception.

Applications sent by e-mail will not be considered.

Manipulation of data and insertion of incorrect date of birth in the online registration form to meet age eligibility criteria will make the application invalid, even if a manual application is submitted later.

Documents to be brought at the time of verification of those selected in First Shortlist/ Draw of Lots:

ORIGINALS OF ALL REQUIRED DOCUMENTS AND ONE SET OF SELF-ATTESTED PHOTOCOPIES

1) Birth Certificate issued by Municipal Corporation or other civic authority

1. Name of the child must be printed on the birth certificate
2. Names of parents in Pre-school Registration form must be the same as that on the Birth Certificate

2) Aadhar Card of the child (Optional)

3) ID Proof of Father – Aadhar Card / Voter ID

4) ID Proof of Mother – Aadhar Card / Voter ID

5) PAN Card of Father

6) PAN Card of Mother

7) Address proof – (any one of the following): Aadhar Card /Ration Card /Voter I Card/ Electricity Bill/MTNL Telephone Bill /Water Bill /Passport /Rent agreement

8) Caste (ST/SC/OBC) Certificate of parent/s (if applicable)

9) For Christian Candidates –

1. Baptism Certificate of child
2. Letter of Church Membership of family from the pastor/parish priest

10)  For Siblings (refers to own brother /sister – not cousins or other family members, even if living in a joint family) – Copy of current I-Card of Sibling studying in the school / latest Fee payment receipt

11)  For Alumni – CBSE AISSCE (Class XII) Mark sheet of Mother/Father (if applicable)

12)  For Staff of Somerville School – Copy of school-issued I-card/ Latest Salary Statement

13) Medical Fitness Certificate of the child from a registered medical practitioner, issued within three months of the date of submission to the school

THE FOLLOWING PASSPORT-SIZED PHOTOGRAPHS MUST BE SUBMITTED ALONG WITH THE ABOVE DOCUMENTS

1) Recent Passport-sized Photograph of the child (taken within the last three months) – 04 Nos.

2) Recent Passport-sized Photograph of the Father – 03 Nos.

3) Recent Passport-sized Photograph of the Mother– 03 Nos.

4) Recent Passport-sized group photograph of Father and Mother along with the Child whose admission is sought – 01 No.

How to apply ?

Registration forms will be available Online as well as at the School Reception from Dec 15, 2021 to Jan 7, 2022 (Timing : 9.00 am to 12.00 Noon).

 

Registration fee = Rs. 25/

 

Registration for admission in all other Classes commence on Dec 15, 2021

The number of seats in each class depends on vacancies created due to transfer, Shifting, issue of TCs etc. Registration does not guarantee admission. (Few admission are only granted to fill seats against issue of TCs on the basis of Merit and/or transfer of residence only). NO NEW ADMISSIONS ARE GRANTED IN CLASSES IX, X & XII.

• The ONLINE registration form for class PRE-SCHOOL (NURSERY) is available on the school portal www.bbisdw.com from Wednesday, 15 December 2021 to Friday, 07 January 2022.

Instructions for filling online Application Form

• All the requisite details must be filled in with due consideration. Any misleading or false information may lead to cancellation /rejection.
• Changes and alterations of any sort will NOT be entertained once the Form is submitted.
• Alongwith the form Kindly upload passport size photos of Father, Mother and Child, with clear face image, in jpg, Png format (100kb) and copy of address proof (500kb) as per Registration form.
• After the form is duly filled, Kindly proceed to pay ONLINE REGISTRATION FEE of Rs. 25/-(Non-Refundable). No other mode of payment will be accepted.
• The registration process will be considered complete only after Completion of the Form along with Payment of Registration Fee.
• After the acceptance, each Form will be issued UNIQUE ACKNOWLEDGEMENT NUMBER. This number will be used for any further correspondence regarding the admission process.
• Copy of Filled Form and acknowledgment of Registration Fee will also be sent to the email id provided by you.
• Print out of the same should be taken for future.
• All supporting documents will be physically checked and verified before granting admission.

DOCUMENT CHECKLIST

1. Self Attested photocopy of Date of Birth certificate of the child.
2. Self Attested photocopy of Residence proof (either of the following)-
   1. Ration Card/Smart Card issued in the name of Parents(Mother/Father having name of child)
   2. Domicile Certificate of Child or of his/her Parents
   3. Voter I - Card (EPIC) of any of the Parents.
   4. Electricity Bill / MTNL Telephone Bill/Water Bill/Passport in the name of any of the Parents or Child.
   5. Aadhaar Card/UID issued in the name of any of the Parents (Rent agreement will not be considered as proof of residence).
3. Proof of Sibling (Latest Fees Receipt/Student’s I Card).
4. Self Attested photocopy of SC/ST/OBC Certificate (wherever applicable).
