A-No fixed admission calendar or criteria . Admission starts Nov on wards and go till June. Most of schools take children / parents interview, some follow point system or FCFS depending on vacancy.

I have a concern regarding draw list for nursery candidates. For several schools in delhi, Draw of lots is scheduled a day before first list of selected candidates.? Can anyone explain this process?
Also, one another concern is draw of lots of several schools is on the same date and time. How can one be present at multiple places?

1- Presence of parents is not mandatory in DOL ( unless specified by some school) which is a rare case.

But is recommended to attend DOL, if possible.

2-Let's take example of X school.

DOL is done when No of applicants > No of seats in school.

If X school has 100 seats then they would do Draw of Lots of parents having equal points.

If there are 250 people have equal points say 40 then DOL would be done for them and children let's say 30 have more then 40 points, they would get admission by default.

So school needs to come with first list of 100 children, so they would add rest 70 children selected in DOL to already 30 children who have more than 40 points.
