Very tough to compare i have mentioned as per preference wise parents( it is more or less at par at top 3 east delhi school) Only DPS in Delhi loosing its sheen in last few years as per first hand parents reviews.

DPS Mathura Road is better than alchon public n alchon international.... I don't hv any idea any Somerville.... This is according to people who are related to this field

Hi Priyanka,

I agree with what Sakshi suggested about DPS in Delhi  loosing its sheen in last few years.

I had my friend and her kids are in Vasant Kunj DPS ( class 3 & class 9) and DPS focus so much on academics and in her words this school just need genius who are being produced for IIT etc.

So much pressure on kids. 

As per her even teachers are not so supportive.

This is a first hand experience from my friend.

Infact one of my other friend last year who have got in DPS vasant kunj for Nursery had NOT opted for DPS.

Hi Priyanka,

I assume you live in east delhi.

Can you me how DPS MR contacted you for verification, through phone or email. I cannot see any list on their website.

I couldn't find my daughter's name either hence I called up the school this morning. I am told that this list is an all-inclusive list and if our wards do not figure on it then it means that their applications are not considered.

Even my daughter's name is not there.... There is no transparency here as we don't know how many points hv our child got and what is the points scored by the children called....

I called the SPV office even today. They gave me some very vague replies so I asked them that it will help us in future if you let me know your criterion of asking some parents to come for verification and not others. I am asked to write an email with my request and I did so. If you want please write to them at spvdelhi@gmail.com about any grievances.

Dear Shalini,

Glad to know that there are parents like me who are wondering what went wrong and what is exactly required to get (even) shortlisted at SPV. My experience is exatly the same as yours when I called them.Could you please let us know if at all they respond to your e mail (which I doubt).
