Hi Sakshi,

What is the significance of points for an application? Do all applications go through a draw of lots?

If so, then the points on any application would not matter, would they?

Its a new school ( 3-4 yrs old ) whether it has been recognized by DOE or some other Authority.

Just double check with school.

Is it possible to run a school without DOE recognition?

Whats the fate of children studying in such schools?

Hi Amit,

My son was in PGGS and it was CBSE.

We admitted him in April 2016 but in academic year 2017 we admitted him in different school ( Reason PGGS was far from our residence).

I just checked the website and they recently got the award of best upcoming CBSE school. Rest please call and check the school. They also organize tours for parents and infact being a new school principal Ms. Geeta Karunakaran is really approachable just in case want to interact with her directly.

This will be their 4th batch of Nursery in April 2018. Each year they add new class. They are now till class 7.

Its in Kalkaji.

Fee is 20K plus and infrastructure is modern. New pedagogy.

I was aware about the fees and the recent award they got.

How was your experience even for the year. Is it worth spending 20k plus looking at the development your ward had when he was there. Is all the sports facility they show on their website such as skating, running track, tennis, swimming are part of school fees (20k) or over the school fees.

Hi Amit,

PGGS in terms of Infrastructure is no doubt an excellent school. Latest toys / furniture / latest smart boards / fancy auditorium / all weather swimming pool / meals / GPS equipped buses.

When we admitted our son in Nursery that time Skating / tennis / swimming was not for nursery kids so cant say about the charges.

The racing track and the greenery shown on the website is all made of synthetic carpet. Its not real :)

In terms of pedagogy they do by practical learning , role plays etc. They have parental interface where they call parents in class to speak to kids about topics of the month like junk food, healthy habits etc. They have workshops for parents on story telling and various teaching methods to educate parents. ( Story telling workshop was paid by parents seperatly).

We admitted our son in PGGS because in 2016 he got only in Bhatnagar Intl School in Vasant Kunj. PGGS we had heard a lot of positive reviews so we admitted our kid there.

In terms of education and teaching we had no issues.

It was only the distance of each day was bothering us. Morning the travel time was 1 hr and afternoon sometimes 1.5 hrs.

Now i had lot of my friends who got admission in 2016 in schools like Bloom Public school / DPS Vasant Kunj, Tagore Intl, Bhatnagar Intl Vasant Kunj.

After talking to them and comparing the teachings i felt that all these schools in Nursery / Kg teaches the same and uses almost same pedagogy with children . The Infra of the above said schools is not as modern as PGGS but they had the experience of years in teaching kids over the years and have experience.

So my advise would be to you :

1. First look for a school which is near to your house. Travel for too long will make a kid cranky all the time. During rainy season and extreme fog conditions in delhi will make it worst.

2. All the schools till Nursery / Kg teaches the same so go for 20K plus school if its a big brand and has a good established name. Later when kids go to higher classes we need money for their hobbies and interest etc so need to save for that.

Over all i was ok with PGGS.

That is just my personal opinion.
